A TERRIFYING EXPERIENCE AT THE MCKAMEY MANOR

Every year in October haunted houses, hayrides, and trails are constructed and enjoyed by thousands of people just before Halloween.

Most are marketed as family friendly, and considered a fun scare.

The McKamey Manor is San Diego California is considered one of the most extreme haunted houses in the world, it is not for the faint of heart.

Run by Russ McKamey and Carol Shultz, this man made hell is designed to be an interactive terrifying experience where you actually live out your own horror movie. The experience is filmed by Russ McKamey.

After giving an explicit list of warnings, you must sign a waiver before you can even enter. No one under 21 is admitted and there are no exceptions. Open Friday and Saturday year round, appointment is by reservation only.

Most haunted houses are a tour under a half an hour. The McKamey Manor may last over four hours, even if you wish to leave the experience you may not be able to escape. There is no exit safe word.

The victim will experience intense audio and lighting, fog effects, and physically demanding conditions. In a wet claustrophobic environment, you will be interacted with by actors and real creatures in many disgusting and terrifying ways.

The goal of the Manor is to find your deepest darkest fear and exploit it until the victims breaking point is reached. Emotional breakdowns are not uncommon.
