Atari sets to Bring Back 2 Horror Game Classics on PC

Two titles are about to be re-imagined this fall

Today Atari announced that two classic survival horror games will be re-imagined for PC this fall.

First to appear is the classic 1992 version of Alone in the Dark now titled Alone in the Dark: Illumination. No word yet on how much it will cost or if it will be a packaged deal of the first 3 games. The teaser site does not give much info except to submit your email address (possibly your soul) to them to receive updates.

The second title is one of the earliest known survival games known as Haunted House. Released in 1982 on Atari 2600 (then on PC, 360, and wii in 2010) this title put players inside a haunted mansion of the late Zachary Graves to recover three pieces of an urn. This was the first title to feature scrolling graphics. Like Alone in the Dark, the site leaves little information on what to except from the remake.
