Brooke Butler (All Cheerleaders Die) to join cast of first crowd-powered film!

While You Were In A Coma: built by the fans

Production begins on what is being called the first crowd-powered film. Tentsquare is set to start production on a short film called “While You Were In A Coma”, which is set to be a dark comedy. The film is written by the McManus Brothers in conjunction with input from the Tentsquare community.

So, what does it mean that the film is “crowd-powered”? Well, Tentsquare members got to vote on specific story elements, the director (Jean Paul Labbe), the lead actor (James St. Vincent), the cinematographer (David Klassen), and composer (Nathan Stell). Producers Andrew van den Houten (also the founder of Tentsquare) and Zach Passero both personally decided to bring Tentsquare member, and star of Houten’s previous film All Cheerleaders Die, Brooke Butler on board as co-star and female lead.

The film is set to begin production next week in El Peso, Texas.
