Cliver Barker, the horror author who brought us the morbid worlds of Night Breed and Hellraiser, has a new project in the works. His new novel, The Scarlet Gospels, will feature two of his iconic characters. Harry D’Amour, a private eye who specializes in the supernatural will face off against Pinhead. The book is set to be released on May 19th, 2015.
I’m pretty excited about this. I have yet to read any of Barker’s books. But I have seen a few Hellraiser films and I’ve seen Lord of Illusions. I’m anxious to see what scares will pop out of this book. Barker mentioned this will be the final chapter of the Hellraiser saga. I can only wait for the movie adaptation to follow.
