Britain’s own Black Metal masters (well, former black metal depending on who you talk to) Cradle Of Filth, are returning with yet another album titled Hammer Of The Witches (the Malleus Maleficarum to us Witches) to top their ever mounding pile of releases. The latest single to be released is Deflowering the Maidenhead, Displeasuring the Goddess. I have to say this track is a bit of a throwback to their earlier material which is good and will demonstrate faithfulness to their brand of sound. But it also seems they are exploring even further with this album by bringing in more electronica when one hears their other single Right Wing Of The Garden Triptych, which also includes the My Dying Bride-ish viola compositions that were lacking when Martin Powell was in the band. I look forward to this one.
