Halloween is upon us again and that means horror movie marathons and trick or treating and of course the partying. If none of those suits you then we got a list of games for you to play for just about any console.
Alien:Isolation Consoles: PC, Mac, Xbox One, Xbox 360, PS3 & PS4
October had two of the most anticipated horror games of the year. The first one being from Sega and that is Alien:Isolation. This is not one of the typical first person shooters like the last few Alien titles. It is definitely an improvement over Colonial Marines by far, but it still has some hiccups that keeps it from being epic. It is a run and hide from the dreaded Xenomorph you can try to fight back but most of the time you will be shredded to death in a one hit death.
The Evil Within Consoles: PC, Mac, Xbox One, Xbox 360, PS3 & PS4
The second game from Bethesda and Tango Gameworks is The Evil Within. What is being called “A true vision of horror” A gameplay sequel to Resident Evil 4″. This game uses the controls of Resident Evil 4 and brings with it a whole new atmosphere of some of the most grotesque creatures to date. Some just down right WTF?
The Vanishing of Ethan Carter Consoles: PC & Mac
If monsters and aliens aren’t your bit, check out mystery game The Vanishing of Ethan Carter. This game uses a fantastic narrative and unbelievably gorgeous graphics to create a mystery like no other. Finding out the secrets to the game and learning the truth behind the story makes it something you must check out (that is if you have a good enough gaming computer).
OUTLAST Consoles: PC, Mac, Xbox One & PS4
Outlast is not by the big name developers like Bethesda or EA but instead it is made by Indie developer Red Barrels. This game puts you in an abandoned mental hospital as you are looking for information on what happened there. You don’t have any combat skills so it is straight up run and hide or you DIE. There are a few scripted sequences of combat but that is it.
DIABLO III: REAPER OF SOULS Consoles: PC, Mac, Xbox One, Xbox 360,PS3, & PS4
Diablo III is not a really big horror game but it does have some horror aspects. You fight numerous creatures from hell and creatures that are just plain weird. This is an RPG game that you can definitely play with your friends that suck hours of your lives away. Diablo III: Reaper of Souls also comes with the original Diablo III so it is just adding more soul sucking hours to the life of the game.
