June 8th, 2018 is the day moviegoers will get to see the King of the Monsters do battle once again in Godzilla 2. It’s rumored that this time Godzilla will be facing off (maybe teaming up) with Mothra, Rodan, and Ghidorah. Gareth Edwards, the man behind this year’s Godzilla, will once again be directing. Edwards will be hot off his as-of-yet untitled, stand-alone Star Wars spin-off, set for release on December 16, 2016.
Legendary is once again releasing the picture, as well as 2016’s Skull Island, which serves as a King Kong prequel. If we get lucky enough, perhaps Kong and Godzilla will be duking it out in theaters by 2020.
