Premiering last Halloween, the Starz network brought us the next chapter in the life of Ashley Williams with, Ash Vs Evil Dead. A harrowing tale full of passion wisdom and where our hero is as moral and righteous as any savior. Ah, who am I kidding, this is a show about the complete opposite except when it comes to passion if you know what I mean *wink wink*.
Anyone who has seen The Evil Dead and its sequels (well Evil Dead 2 is sort of a reboot/sequel but that is for another article) knows about our beloved hero, Ash. A Dopey store clerk who just wants to live his life in a trailer park, get high, and nail babes as much as he can. A hero for the ages. With his return to our lives in Ash Vs Evil Dead he comes back in full force with the help of his creator, Sam Raimi, and the man who brought him to life Bruce Campbell. The first season was a great fun filled ride, full of the grotesque and macabre demons and bloodshed we have come to love. Buckets of blood and entrails are thrown about with little regard for anything but turning the scene crimson. Where our hero’s travel around blowing up Deadites in the search for a way to send all the demons back to hell. If you’re a fan of the films and of Ash himself this series is a must see.
Now, Starz is bringing our beloved hero back and ready to kick some more ass with his boomstick and chainsaw. Season 2 starts in October, more than likely somewhere around Halloween again, and promises more of what we love from the movies and the first season. Ramping up the gore and insanity is exactly what we want for this world. We would expect nothing less.
