Halloween is a great holiday. It’s a time to dress up and have fun with your friends and family. You can go trick or treating, go to a party, or just stay home with and watch some scary movies. If you dress up, you have so many choices. You can dress up as someone who is scary, sexy, funny or serious. There are so many possibilites you’ll have a tough time choosing just one costume.
It’s also important to be safe. When you go out with your friends, keep an eye out for each other. It seems Halloween lets out more crazy people more than usual. If you’re a parent, keep your kids close. I know parents are always careful when they take their kids out. I hope parents are checking the candy too. You can never be too careful these days. There are some psychos out there who love to hurt people.
No matter what you choose to do, have fun. Don’t let anyone try and talk you out of your plans. This is a day to be yourself. You can try and be someone different if you’d like. But bottom line, you have to be happy. There is no shame in being yourself and doing what makes you happy. Halloween should be no different.
Finally, don’t worry if you get scared. One of the things that makes Halloween great is the fun of being scared. If someone tries to scare you, don’t take it too personal. They’re just trying to get into the holiday spirit. Oh, and don’t scare kids too much. If you scare a kid, and he or she starts crying, stop. Don’t keep scaring the poor kid. You may think it’s funny but you’ll come across as a giant douchebag. If some kids come to your door, just give them some candy. Don’t give them nightmares. So this is your friendly and down to earth Horror fan, Dylan Patton, wishing every person that reads this, and everyone else in the world, a happy and safe Halloween.
