This months Horror Block takes on a decidedly undead route, with a number of items celebrating the living dead. Shall we crack her open? Lets.
First up is this zombie oven mitt, which frankly left me a little unimpressed. It’s neat enough, but I don’t do all that much baking. A creepy gift for my Grandma maybe, but not a lot of practicality in my own life.
Next up is this gooshy zombie doll thing. Honestly, I don’t love these things either. I like my collectables firmer, with more action figures, less rubbery things like this. But I can see how others could like it.
Here we have a zombie door stopper, which actually is pretty interesting. I love the design on this guy, and it serves a practical purpose.
Up now we have a zombie handed back scratcher. This is actually pretty nice; it reaches those hard to hit itches and helps scratch them. Its a little silly, but it’s not a bad addition to the box.
Here we have some zombie dog tags. Nice design, but not really my style.
Finally (this was a packed box) we have this little guy. Its distressingly cheaply made and broke apart moments after I touched it. Oh well.
Being a Ring fan, I did enjoy this months shirt.
And of course, Rue Mourge is always stellar.
Overall though, I didn’t love this month. There were a lot of items, but most of them small and crappy; stuff I’d pick out of the dollar store in all honesties. The shirt and magazine made it worth the purchase for me, but in the future I hope Horror Block sticks with a few big ticket items instead of a bunch of little crappy ones.
