Mortal Kombat has been known for its’ over the top kills and uniquely designed characters so it would only make sense to add horror icons to the franchise.
In the most recent reboot of Mortal Kombat the master nightmares Freddy Kruger took to the arena. Now in Mortal Kombat X we will see the face of Camp Crystal Lake Jason Voorhees take a vacation from Crystal Lake and be a DLC character with the season pass. Will we see Freddy make a return and one can only hope that we will see more horror icons in the future.
