It just came to light that the next and final film in the live action Resident Evil series was just about to go before the camera… but at the last minute, it appears there are going to be yet more delays.
Milla Jovovich, who stars as badass heroine Alice in the films, recently announced that filming on Resident Evil: The Final Chapter is once again being delayed because… drum roll, please… she just discovered she’s pregnant! Congrats! Yes, this is her second child between her and director of the Resident Evil films, Paul W. S. Anderson. Milla and Paul actually got married back in 2009 and my boss man Uncle Ani assures me I was not the only person unaware of this. That makes me feel a bit better.
So, great news for Milla, but we fans of the series have to wait at least 8 more months (I am guessing, since one month in is the earliest a pregnancy is detected) for more Resident Evil goodness. Or badness. Really awesome badness. Admittedly, the films aren’t the most intelligent, but I find them to be a guilty pleasure for mind numbing fun. Can’t wait!
