SALEM’ Season 3 Trailer Emerges Before Comic Con!

Are you ready to travel back into the bewitching universe of SALEM? You better be, because WGN just dropped the first full length trailer for the third season of the hit series ahead of their Comic Con 2016 panel

The third season of Salem dawns with the triumph of the witches’ plan to remake the New World by bringing the devil to earth and making Salem his capital. But the devil is a liar, and instead of a New World free from murderous Puritan hypocrisy, his own plan will bring nothing but death and slavery with the ultimate aim of leading humanity to destroy itself.” WGN America stated.

Season 3 is set to star Janet Montgomery (Wrong Turn 3: Left For Dead), Shane West (ER), Seth Gabel (The Da Vinci Code), Tamzin Merchant (Pride & Prejudice), Lucy Lawless (Ash VS Evil Dead), Ashley Madekwe (Revenge), Elise Eberle (Lemonade Mouth), Iddo Goldberg (Last Passenger), Joe Doyle and Oliver Bell (The Sidekick). Controversial rocker Marilyn Manson has signed on to guest star as well. Manson’s contributions to the show haven’t began here though, he collaborated on and performed Salem’s opening score “Cupid Carries A a Gun”.

Salem’s third season is set to return the week of  Halloween on WGN. The series first premiered in April of 2014 acting as the first scripted/highly rated series for WGN. Salem was renewed for season 3 on July 11, 2015. Salem creator Brannon Braga and Adam Simon based the series [as if you didn’t catch on yet] off the Salem Witch Trails of 1692 – 1693. Although witch and evil paranoia didn’t just go on for one year, but for 100! The trend of paranoia of common man or women wielding evil and Satanic abilities became popular through the dates of 1560 – 1670.
