The Internet, and in particular YouTube, has been an amazing source for young filmmakers to get their work to a larger audience. Many short films, such as Mama and Fist of Jesus have gone on to become feature films after being seen by the right people. Simply put, quality horror shorts are abundant and easy too find for all those willing to look.
Santa is one of those shorts. Asides from looking a bit like the Snow Miser, this iteration of Mr.Claus is horrifying, taking the “Claws” part a bit more literally. At only 90 seconds it’s a very quick ride designed to briefly terrify you, then make its exit. The short run time is a good fit for the format however, and even if the idea itself is a bit basic, the demented spin on an old Christmas staple makes Santa more than worth the watch. It’s only 90 seconds; give it a shot.
