For those of you that saw The Strangers and The Strangers: Prey at Night in theaters, you know how terrifying it would be to have masked people invade your home with ill intent. They are there for no apparent reason and when asked why, the simple answer is, “Because you were home.” This makes me uncomfortable just saying it. The idea that this trio of crazies didn’t have any rational motive to want to hurt any of these people, no supernatural abilities, or when the time came, any scruples in killing their victims, chilled me to the bone. After seeing these films, I now check window locks and doors much more than before. Not that that would stop them, I guess, but it makes me feel better!

 

 The Strangers: Prey at Night is inspired by the original 2008 cult classic The Strangers, bringing back the infamous villains- Dollface, Pin-Up Girl and Man in the Mask and is based on another story ripped right from the headlines of horror! A family’s road trip takes a dangerous turn when they arrive at a secluded mobile home park to stay with relatives and find it mysteriously deserted. The family is nice enough, despite some tension. We meet dad Mike (Martin Henderson), mother Cindy (Christina Hendricks), daughter Kinsey (Bailee Madison), and son Luke (Lewis Pullman) on a weekend trip, before taking Kinsey to a boarding school. Under the cover of darkness, our three masked psychopaths pay them a visit that tests the family’s ability to survive!

 

    

 

The Strangers: Prey at Night is available on digital now, and will be out on Blu-Ray/DVD on June 12th, 2018. To celebrate, Universal Home Entertainment has given The Blood-Shed a BluRay pack to give away to a lucky Blood-Shed follower!

    scariest moment was when my son was young he went through a phase where he wouldnt go in the kitchen at night, he would scream and cry and point at the kitchen and just said it was something scary.
