Tonopa is a small town that lies between Reno and Las Vegas Nevada.
Once a booming area during the gold rush, the population of Tonopa has dwindled from 50,000 to just currently over 2,500. The town has become a small oasis for fuel, water, and snacks for those on their way to the bigger cities.
In the north end of town you will find a terrifying attraction, especially if it’s the middle of night and you are too tired to drive.
The Clown Motel is a nightmare for those who suffer from Coulrophobia.
The lobby is filled with hundreds of clown figurines. Everything from sad hobos to the most frightening of clowns gives you the feeling that you’re being watched.

The motel rooms feature portraits of famous clowns who majestically hang on the wall.

If you find yourself in Nevada, and brave enough to give this place a try, you may want to make a reservation. The Clown Motel has four out of five stars on Yelp, and gets very busy. The Clown Motel welcomes bikers and truckers, is pet friendly, and has affordable rates.
