Ah, remakes. Proof that there are no original ideas anymore. In any case, like it or hate it, Poltergeist is getting a remake… but at a different date than previously announced.
Previously, we were informed that Poltergeist would get a February 13th, 2015 (which would have been a Friday the 13th). New just broke that the release date has been pushed back from winter into summer with a July 24th, 2015 date.
The movie is in post-production and is directed by Gil Kenan (City of Ember) and stars Rosemarie DeWitt (Cinderella Man) and Sam Rockwell (Iron Man 2).
