Video: Author Chuck Palahniuk Reads “Fight Club 4 Kids”

“The first rule of Horsing Around Club is…”

I am Jack’s hysterically inappropriate book for children.

Following in the footsteps of DrFaustusAU, the deviant artist from Australia who reimagines horror movies as Dr. Seuss books, Fight Club author Chuck Palahniuk has repackaged his anarchic classic for the younger generation. Check out the video below of Palahniuk reading his latest creation: Fight Club 4 Kids.

As he explains in the introduction, “Since my audience, my readership is getting older, having children, and dying, I’ve decided to reintroduce the book to a whole new generation.”

If you’re a parent anxious to share your love of Fight Club with your young ones, I’m sure you’re anxious to buy your very own copy of Fight Club 4 Kids. Unfortunately, you won’t find this gem online at Amazon, nor the shelves of your local bookstore. Sadly, Fight Club 4 Kids is 100% fake. Damn!

Then again, maybe it’s best to wait for your kids to turn 18 before introducing them to Tyler Durden. Understanding that we’re just “the all-singing, all-dancing crap of the world” is a tough lesson to teach a toddler.

Thanks to Mashable for putting this together!

Psssst… Josh, I totally hate being a stickler, but Fight Club is sacred ground for me and “Tyler Derden” is actually spelled “Tyler Durden”. I know, I know, I’m an ass… Great article otherwise!

I would buy this book if it was real just to have it as a conversation piece. Fight Club was one of best films ever made.
