Viewer Faints During Festival Screening of “The Green Inferno”

Proud moment for Eli Roth!

Last night, a viewer fainted during a screening of the cannibal survival horror The Green Inferno at the annual Deauville American Film Festival in France. Eli Roth Tweeted the news himself, clearly beaming with pride. Indeed, sending audience members into states of physical distress seems to be a Badge of Honor for many horror practitioners. It’s the kind of press you just can’t buy and will clearly pique the interests of many hardcore horror thrill seekers (those who aren’t already rabid with excitement).

Official Synopsis: A group of student activists travel from New York City to the Amazon to save the rainforest. However, once they arrive in this vast green landscape, they soon discover that they are not alone – and that no good deed goes unpunished.

Blumhouse will release The Green Inferno through its BH Tilt label in collaboration with Universal and Focus’ High Top Releasing on approximately 1,000 screens in the US on September 25th.

This movie has been promoted for too long.
That usually happens when a film is just average and they’re trying to pack theatres

I remember the hype for “paint your wagon”.
    That was a collisal flop.

I want to see the green inferno anyway.
But I may wait for the dvd.

First off I like Eli Roth movies, but it makes me wonder why is it taking to long to actually hit the sliver screen, I haven’t seen or heard rave reviews of the movie yet, but I will check it out

I heard there was just one scene with female nudity.
Proper cannibals would strip all their victims naked… Major shame. Sky Ferreira is a great model will be interesting to see her act!
