What Does Death Look Like?

He could be coming for you and you wouldn't even know it....

Death goes by many names: The Grim Reaper, The Angel of Death, The Reaper of Souls.  There have been many images in TV, movies, books, video gmaes and art.  But what does Death really look like?  Does Death even have a face? What if Death has no actual form?

The most common form I’ve seen in images is Death wearing a long, black cloak and carries a scythe.  This seems to be the most common image.  I think it’s because it’s the most terrifying.  We never see Death’s face.  There is a variation to this image in which we see a skull.  It makes sense in that a skull could be the face of death.

There is a fascination with death so people also wonder what Death would look like.  I’m sure if you ask a group of people what Death looks like, you’ll get different answers.  Personally, Death has no form.  It’s just this formless entity.  This terrifies me because with no form you can’t see it or defend yourself from it.  It’s just going to come for you.

I’d love to hear from you readers out there.  What do you think Death looks like? What stories or legends have you heard?  I’d also love, if you can, to post an image or draw an image of your vision of Death.

Love the image of the Grim Reaper, always have. I don’t know if death has a form or not but if it does I don’t think you will see it until you are already gone.
