Zombieland 2 Digs its Way out of the Grave!

Zombieland, one of the greatest zomcom’s out there, has a sequel back in development! A sequel was announced originally shortly after the first film. And then… nothing. Eventually, word came out that the powers that be would make it into a TV series instead. And they tried to do just that. They filmed a pilot ep for the series that would be streamed through Amazon and put it online. Annnnd it sucked. But what the hell did they expect to happen when they recast every single person from a movie where very specific actors made the film what it was in the first place? Seriously, who else do you think could play Tallahassee? Needless to say, the pilot ep was not well received and Amazon wisely choose not to continue the series. That was back in March of 2013. Everyone thought that was the end of Zombieland, an amazing standalone that we would never see more of…

Until now! Today it has been made official that Zombieland 2 is back in development! No word on casting yet, but Ruben Fleischer returns to direct. Dave Callaham (Doom (boo!) and Expendables (yay!)) is credited as the writer.
