“Being a predator is just a general human impulse…”

3:33,  the latest short film from Gloomy Sunday Productions, is a lovely little tale of predator beware.  Introducing us to Dire in the beginning of the short, we see he is a bit off perhaps.  He seems on edge and carries himself very, very intensely.  His immoral, personally pleasant memories are made clear to us, and we know Dire has nefarious plans.

His next moves are witnessed at a My Life With The Thrill Kill Kult concert, with the song ‘Daisy Chain 4 Satan’ playing live in the background, and where he has set his sights upon a lonely young woman, who is quite honestly, sticking out drastically in her white dress amongst the sea of black clad industrial fans.

The absolutely stunning Zee Monsta, sits across from the killer, seemingly unaware of her inevitable demise at the hands of Dire.  He watches her every single move, waiting for his opportunity to attack.  Little does he know though, he is a pawn, a target himself.  In the beloved fashion reminiscent of Rape-Revenge flicks, 3:33 turns the tables on the aggressors.  In little over six minutes, this short sets a powerful tone many of us can easily cheer on, and delivers some low budget love of the horror genre and industrial music scene.

my life with the thrill kill kult - hit & run holiday

Apparently, this is only one in a series to come, following the theme of predators and Thrill Kill Kult.  Count me in to keep an eye out for the rest, and for anything else Gloomy Sunday Productions releases.
