Bryan Bertino’s 2008 home-invasion flick, “The Strangers” has FINALLY been resurrected from developmental hell; Johannes Roberts (The Other Side Of The Door’, 47 Meters Down) has been locked down to direct from a script by returning writer/director, Bertino. Additionally, BLOOM has picked up the flick’s international sales rights and will be introducing the sequel to buyers at the European Film Market.

“The Strangers 2” is said to follow the story of a family arriving at a trailer home park and forced to spend the night in a borrowed trailer. As the story progresses the family is said to be victims of attack by three masked psychopaths.

The Fyzz Facility Pictures’ Wayne Marc Godfrey (“The Foreigner”, “The Survivalist”), Robert Jones (“Centurion,” “The Usual Suspects”), Mark Land and James Harris (“47 Meters Down,” I Am Not A Serial Killer”), all are producing the Pic, in association with Relatively Media.

Bloom’s Alex Walton describes the pic’s predecessor to be his “favorite horror film of the past 10 years”

And The Fyzz’s Mark Lane boasted “The Strangers’ redefined the home invasion genre”

We can expect to see “The Strangers 2” return to the presses soon; Production is currently casting for a Summer shoot in the US, stay tuned!
